Chroming Raptor Frame

Default Chroming Raptor Frame

Has anyone ever done this ? heard of it ? how much we talkin here ?

I saw one this sunday, looked really cool. If u send it over to me I can have it chromed cheaper than any place you might find in TX. You might get good prices south of TX though. I have a guy that does REALLY good chroming and polishing. Your probably looking at 100-200 for the entire frame including the subframe. But if you chrome the frame, might as well chrome ALL the quad!

hmm... i know of a guy thats about 40 miles up the road from me... heard good things from him.. will have to check with him to get an idea on price... Can the cylinder... head, and valve cover be chromed ? why do most people polish these instead ?

Since its aluminum, its easier to polish, and I would think that the chrome would fade into a rainbow color with all the heat from the head.

you could make it,i seen some hand polished side covers that would blind you..

yeah but chrome dont last as long. Everywhere therwe are bolts or something that bolts to the frame it will probably eventually crack. After crack then peel and rust. Still think it would look good thought for a while.

It will work if you put rubber washers between the bolt and frame.

Also polished alumium is a pain to keep up, IMO.
