Ironbear~

Congrats on your decision! I am certain you will be very happy with a new Grizzly. Those LE's are absolutely a site to behold.

If you don't mind me asking, what did prompt you to go with the Grizzly?

Hi Iron Bear. The grizzly is just awsum. 60mph ,lots of low end torque. 2,3and 4 wheel drive.
ITP tires and rims are recomended in my books. Just respect it they can bite.
Seen the bike in a atv show at an exhibition center with my buddy, fell in love with the color and we bought two of them.

I would get a Cat 650. It is the only V-twin on the market with IRS and it is the only atv with FULLY IRS. everyone else has those stupid tracking bars that just limit flex and makes it ride like crap. Also the 650 has more power than any utility atv besides the 700 prairie (the 650 prarie has the same motor). And as you may have read, on the grizzly if the motor is hot and you get water on the engine it makes it bogg down because it is sucking in steam. The Cat doesnt do that. But it is your money, you can get what ever you want but from what Ive seen the grizzly will outdo any thing accept a 650 Cat. But what ever you do DO NOT get the pull-your-a$$ I mean polaris because my freind has one. first time we went riding alot of stuff broke. The front suspension broke on some rocks that my 400i cat did not have any trouble on. The clutches also knock and make all kinds of annoying noise. My Cat is the only thing that I like riding on as far as atvs. I put a jet kit in it, Titan 589 MT's on it, and custom lights on it. It is awesome. If i were you i would go test ride a Cat and a Grizzly and see which one you like better.

But if you do get the grizzly instead of a Cat (which is what i would get) or the polaris, then you can make a snorkel out of 2" pvc and run it inside of the left side plastic (sitting on the atv) and up just behind the front rack. This will fix the "steam in motor" case.

The Grizzly live up to it's reputation easily. but if you wait they will be gone . limited editions don't last in the showroom. Get some tires right of the bat, 26" bear claws or like I have mud lites, u won't be soory on your choice. good luck

Tell your buddy to take it out of low next time.

huh? last time I looked, my grizzly has dual A arms in the rear.. can't get much more "FULLY IRS" then that. True, it has a SWAY BAR, but that is removeable, and doesn't make it any less IRS

Also, the Polaris 700 is a V-Twin with IRS

10mm socket and maybe a 14mm wrench. 6 bolts total. Maybe 15-20 minutes and most of the time is spent jacking it up and taking off the wheels. Its nice to be able to alternate it. I can take it off if I want the flex, and put it back on if I want to wheelie without the extra squat.

Silverbear,

My decision factor of the Grizzly consisted of the following:

1) IRS
2) Disc Brakes
3) More power/torque over the Rincon
4) Price
5) The fact that the Grizzly has the same engine as the Raptor.
6) And last but not least, the looks have grown on me.

Thanks again!,
