Anyone using NOS? I did on quads years back, but we have quad specific set-ups now that are no-doubt safer. NX and now Boondockers are newer......the Boondockers install looks clean. My only concern is the large bottle....anyone have ideas on a smaller bottle in a less vulnerable location?

I know that some guys run boondockers and some run NX (bout halfinhalf). I've seen the bottles under the rear grab bar, in the stock pipe location(drap pipe), on the frame behind one of the front wheels, were the air box use to be....... basically there's a lots a places to put it.

I am running a NX system. I have the 5 pound bottle, while most are running a 2.5. I mounted it on the left side of the frame behind the front wheel. Lovin it so far!

Wallstreet....I asume you done quite a bit of research before purchasing. Why did you go NX over B-dockers? Does anyone have a set-up that puts the bottle out of harms way...under seat. What happens if you wreck and rupture the bottle?

I went with NX over Dockers because I like its adjustability and that it is not just a dry shot. If I were to hit something and burst the bottle, who knows what would happen! lol

Here's the scenario with nos. I don't run it in my bike, but I do work with it here in the lab.(EPA Lab Ada, OK)

Nitrous Oxide is not flammable. Instead it is an accelerant. We all know that things need two things to burn right? 1)fuel 2)oxygen When in a combustible environment, nitrous oxide works just like oxygen accelerating the fuel. Because of the concentration being thrown into the chamber, nos provides much more kick than the oxygen poor atmosphere usually running through it. So, If one were to wreck and burst their nos bottle, something else would have to be on fire for an explosion to result. Don't believe what you see on the silver screen, its just hollywoold magic.

EDIT: had a few spelling mistakes.

Nit is actually two parts oxygen and one part nitrogen NO2(thats a sub-2)...the additional oxygen allows for more fuel to be burned...esentialy your motor is nothing but an air pump...the more air (o2) that you pump through the more power you produce...the nitrogen acts as a cooling agent

Nitrouse was first used by the USAF to allow airplanes(piston driven motors) to fly at higher altitudes...where the oxygen was to thin to create the power neede to keep the aircraft at that height....

And if the bottle breaks...I'd say breath deep and the whole situation would seem funny...but that sulfer smell will make you puke
