Default Raptor or Banshee?

For drag racing there is no comparison yet. The shee has unlimited potential. But the 4strokes are making strides towards closing the gap. Right now my vote is for the Shee when it comes to drag racing.

Get the shee in the long run you'll be happy. The rappy is a great machine, but the banshee is wild and has more power than the rappy will ever have if they are modded. Pipes, jets, filters etc...

hey buddy the shee is a 2 stroke remember...
if u ride trails (like me) get a raptor, if like dunes get a banshee, if u like getting stuck get a banshee...no offense they dont do good in mud...not like any 2 wheel does anyways

Default Raptor or Banshee?

i raced a harescramble and would have come in 2nd if i didnt advance, and 1st if i did, yep, on a banshee, but the mount for the silencer(the 2 pieces of metal with the rubber on the inside) broke off on the last lap when i hit a large table-top ! i was up against Zs, kfx's, raptors, 400exs, 300exs, and a blaster. banshees arent that great on the trails, but with the right rider, they can do just about anything and these trails at the race were TIGHT, but i do agree on one thing, they do suck in mud, i could prolly get mine stuck in a mud puddle!

I would have to say that if you are looking at both those, you might consider looking at the Honda 300ex. I hear it is comparable.

not even close the 300ex it out of the running, i mean come on, even though i am a die hard honda guy, the 300ex has no chance to be as good as the shee or raptor, when the 400ex can do all it can to even keep up, the 300 will be left in the dust.

Well for me the banshee is an awesome quad and im trading my raptor for one like hiram did, the rappy has its good points but if the guy likes to go fast and hold on to lightning he should get the shee, my raptor was very fast but I like the combination of speed and well speed of the banshee.

I love the banshee. There isnt a bike that can give you a rush like the shee. And as im finding out now when they blow up there even more fun to work on.

I drove the hell out of my 03 shee. Ive had it 1 year now and put roughly about 5000km on it. I took it deer hunting and used it every morning and night to get two and from my watch which was 4 km in the bush thru very rought trails. Mud, snow, and hills and the shee swallowed it up.

A lot of guys say it cant crawl, but ive gone everywhere and i never had a problem going slow with it, except in the summer when its warm outside and it will start to overheat. But in -10 its not a problem.

Ive done a ton of full throttle crusing and found that it was pretty good on gas if you drove it properly.

It would still be running if it wasnt for the crappy foam filter that yamaha provided. I must have run in a area that had some really fine dust because it just went right thru and took out the motor. Could have happened to any motor.

I suggest that everyone replace there filter with a K&N. Becasue the foam filter really really sucks.

Now im in the process of putting PSI pipes, Oversized pistons, Reeds, Heads with 21cc domes, and a carb kit. The heads are backordered so its still going to be at least a week till its running again. But when it does im sure it will be fun.

2 strokes rule, the smell, the power, the sound..
