The CDI is difference if you look
at the part # they are difference

Yeah I was on Yamaha's website on the Raptor specs page at the bottom it said "California model differs slightly due to emmisions control." My guess is that the muffler is different than the other US models.

 

We got ahold of a California spec Big Bear and that thing has been a nightmare. It never runs right. It has so many more electronics on it it's unbelievable! Six wires to the carbs alone! Won't make that mistake again.
