I am looking at purchasing a new 04 Raptor, but this is what I have planned. I would like to swap the top end from my old one to my new one and other mods. The 02 will have 04 top end and stock setup.


Then I will sell the 02 and for how much do you think I could get for it? 2500 , 3500 , 4500..... any ideas?

Also, is there a difference in engine parts that wont let me do the swap?

Just wondering, but why are you wanting to do this? Is your 02 head ported? All of the parts should match up, however, if you change the heads, you also have to have the matching valve cover. Good Luck

Yes the head and Sleeve have been redone.

 

You could probaly get 3500 out of the 02' Raptor.

 

Used Raptors are going for around $4,500.00 here in AZ.

 

Raptors in CA. bring a pretty good price if they're in good shape.
I adjusted the valves on an 04 and it seemed like the ignition mark was closer to the TDC mark than on other years. The ignition timing on the 04 may be different but I'm not sure of this.

 

It should go for bout 4500.
