If you can affored the YFZ go with that...if you don't care about reverse get the YFZ....If a couple extra mph's isn't important to you get the YFZ...If you want something that handles great and hauls ***....that's right, get the YFZ...

The salesmen at the dealer have been telling me that the YFZ is better, but I was leary of selling my raptor just based off of what they said.

the tr-450r does look cool but most people i ask say i should get the yfz. I 've heard that honda is going to make a 650 sport quad next year, but I don't want to wait that long.

It doesn't take a ton of aftermarket parts to beat down a YFZ.

And if you want a bike that you can build into a monster....the Raptor is the only way to go.

True true.......remember, Yamaha will not take care of their customers when trouble occurs...warranty or not. Even thought the new Honda is more conservative than the YFZ, in the long run it may be a wise decision.

my dad has a raptor with a graydon proline exhaust, an fmf header pipe and a big gun exhaust and it can hold its own with just about anyhting except for the heavily modified raptors.
so if u want my opinion u shoul go for the raptor cuz its got a ton of hp and a ton of torque and it has reverse a must for anyone who doesnt like getting off their quad to turn around

Yes he is right. But it is a hard decision. Depends on what you want. If i were you i would probably go the extra mile and get the YFZ, becuase everything you read about it is good. But it all depends on what you want. Next summer i am planning on getting a new one, and i am going to be faced with the same decision, about the Raptor or YFZ, and i have to really think about it. And maybe in a year it will have reverse, which will help me make up my mind.
