modded raptor clutch life?
I have a decently built 686 and am running the GYTR clutches on the stock basket. How long should the clutch hold up to hard running? I did a 40 mile trail ride and a single day at the dunes with some hard drags and had to play with the adjustments more than I thought I should. Is there a different clutch that I should try or swap baskets or different oil or ????

I have to adjust my new Hinson/GYT-R sometimes. There was one big adjustment required when it "broke in" and it needs a turn or so at the perch depending on how I'm riding. Yesterday we were on some woods trails that had a lot of downed trees to circle. My clutch heated up and got a little mushy so I loosened up the cable a turn or so. I use Neutral as my gauge and adjust the free play until I can just shift into Neutral when the engine is running. A little tighter when it's cold, a little looser when it's hot. I want max clamping pressure which means minimum preload on the clutch plates.
