The Raptor has the Warrior beat in every category except maybe the price, to me the Raptor would be well worth the difference!

And to others, it will not be. Besides, it is not costing Yamaha to produce the Warrior(development) so sale profits help off set the new machine. Also, Honda sells the 300 and 400 EX and they sell lots of 300s.

That way the 400ex riders have someone to hang out with when the Raptor and Banshee leave it in the dust. hehe.

I was comparing the Warrior to the Raptor!! This has nothing to do with the 400EX.

I am a Warrior rider and like my machine alot but I've got to side with Norm. I dont see why they'd keep producing the Warrior when the Raptor seems to be a replacement machine, sort of living up to that earlier "Super Warrior" title. Heck count me in line for that one! I suppose the Warrior will still fill a niche but an ever smaller one after this machine hits the dealers floor.

Maybe because you need to work up to a quad this is out of the box faster than banshees, Just cause you go to buy a 4 wheeler doesnt mean you need a inexperienced rider to buy and kill themselves on a big fast quad. this is why the industry was down for so long, because of all of the lawsuits. this is a major quad, have you seen the street bike this engine came from. I think they should set the minimum age for this at 18 or better because you dont just need to jump on and fly you need experience. they have to keep the warrior because then their entry level sport bike would be a banshee. I mean you buy your kid a yamaha and have to be forced to pick out junior a raptor or a banshee get real, just put a down payment on a coffin.

Ok, NO. The Warrior and Raptor have 2 totally different jobs!! The Warrior is a nice little sporty- high performance/trail machine. The Raptor is a full-blooded racing high-performance machine!! Its made to beat out the DS 650 and the 400EX and have features that the Banshee doesnt. It has electric start and reverse, Banshee doesnt. The Warrior is made for a whole different purpose. Are you gonna stop making the 300EX becuz you have the 400EX??? NOPE. hope that answers your question.

Good Point about age and experience!, I can't think of a better reason to keep the Warrior in the lineup. I'm satisfied now ride on Warrior!

I overlooked the point that just because the Raptor beats the Warrior in every category doesn't mean anyone could ride it.

One more point. Don't you all think that the Warrior and Raptor have more similarities than the 300EX and 400EX?
