Banshee pipe and jetting problem.
Hi. Im working on my banshee putting pipes and heads on it.
Im having a problem with the PSI pipes. None of the mounting holes line up and it is interfearing with the air box. My bike is a 03 and im just wondering if there is a change from the 02 to 03.
Also the Dynojet kit seems wrong. My stock jets are 200 and the dynojet kit provides 270 and 280 main jets. And the needle is about 1cm longer then the stock needle. Somthing seems very wrong.
So please help me out. If the PSI pipes dont line up becasue of the year im going to send them back and run toomey T6s. So with pipes, Heads 121cc domes, K&N filter (Airbox), and Boyceen reeds what do you think my jetting and needle clip position should be or at least close to start.
Thanks.

Ok. The pipes are defective. The fabricator must have been drunk at the time he was bending the pipe. I found this out because the left side bolted up perfectly. The right side is so screwed up that the only thing its good for is a fire poker. By the way im talking about the silencer not the pipe part.
Machwon, Are you saying there are two types of needles (short and long). Becasue the stock ones are 1cm shorter and its on the 3rd clip position. Should i just keep the stock needles in or should i use the longer dynojet one. Can someone please explain why they would use a long one.
Also what does 25 pilot mean. Isnt the pilot a screw.
Im not an idiot, just a little new when it comes to tuning bike carbs, Mostly used to cars.
So just to recap, If you put in the long dynoport needles and the 270 jets and 25 pilot I should be safe to start up and go for a ride. I just dont want to melt down.
Thanks guys.

Any piped banshee should run the longer style needles like yours from dynojet. I suggest middle notch to start. If you use the stock needle I guarantee it will be a blubbering turd in the midrange. I would run the 280 main if its less than 60 degrees in Ontario (est. approx. 600-1000 ft above sea level). The pilot jet is another small changable jet under the white plastic slosh gaurd around the main jet. 25 is stock and is just fine as long is there is no hesitation off idle through 1/4 throttle. If it does hesitate turn the air screw in. The air screw is set by turning all the way in until a light resistance if felt. Then back the air screw out by counting the number of turns (0.5 turns is rich to 2.5 turns lean, is the effective range). You will probably be able to run at 2.5 turns out and still not have hesitation. This means the jet could still go smaller but I don't recommend it. I usually run at 1.5 turns out.
