Default fly wheel/rod weight

This was brought up by Slim in another thread, but I seem to have lost it.

How much differance is there going to be removing weight from the rod as compared to the fly wheel?

I think you would feel more gain by removing weight from the rod, because of the up and down motion, but it is an awfull smooth action. Would removing weight from any part of the crank (I am considerring the flywheel as part of the crank) be just as good?

Ward I didn't remove any weight from either one. To be on the safe side I don't think you could gain that much form either. If weight is a concern TI Rod and get the assy. balanced.
