Default 14min LOOK!!!!!!!

Jammer you sound like a nice enough guy with a fast Pred. And I didn't say anything when I first saw this (I thought 14mins would though, but I think he's slippin) but ...well I'll just post the quote from you and let you explain. I can think of a couple, possible, logical explaintations to this. Either you meant something other than "I beat everybody at Olds Hill", or it was some other form of Polaris than a Pred., like a 800 2stroke out of some sled in a banshee frame.

I went to glamis in the year 2000 over thanksgiving and went away undefeated at the drag strip and olds hill. All of this was on a Polaris!

Sorry if I seem like a a$$ or anything, it just doesn't sound quite right.

The ATPT Nationals last year were awesome!! You should deffinately try and make it next year.

Ward- Old age is setting in. lol You know that was funny (olds at thanksgiving on a predator) cause i just remembered that i was there for a few days. Jammer was right on one point, i was surprised that there were not hundreds of built quads out playing. Hargrove showed up as i was leaving to come back to Texas and i know that there was no one out there on a 4 stroke that would have touched him. We hung around olds hills everyday. Michealaz(trinity 686) and about a dozen of his friends. Roostking and speddmn had some of the fastest trail rideable banshees there. Speedemon took my quad up the hill quite a few times and no one was close to him. Glamis was a hell of a place and hope to go back again this year. BUT there were no fast predators for the 4 days that i was there. I only saw 4 or 5 out of all the people out there and only 2 of them had some type of mods. During the daytime i never saw many 400ex's but they all came out at night. lol I know if there was a fast predator one of us (12 people) would have seen it and the other 11 would have egged somebody on to run it. I even made quite a few passes and michealaz was making pass after pass at olds, brawley and comp hill when it was open. I never saw michealaz lose a race unless we raced each other and speedmon never lost a race. So now i wonder jammer42 what glamis you were at at thanksgiving cause there must be 2 of them. I was camped with kingraptor, michealaz, kens cycle, roostking, azraptor, hargrove and many other forum members and i recall no fast predators. The few i saw were running the far left of olds hill against the z400's and 400ex's.

Thanks ward for waking me up.

Now the build banshees were monsters running the part of olds they always do.

14mins, I think you misread something. It looks like jammer said year 2000 on a polaris from the quote above. Just didnt want you thinking you had something here that was going to take credit away from jammer. From all I have gathered is he has a very well built quad and time will tell how he does agaist the so called big boys.

Don't under estimate the Predator, If my source's are accurate, a pure stock DS showed up at Aledo and was out running the 686 Rappy's in 300 ft. No one would have believed he could do it, until he showed up. Sounds like Jammer has put together a lethal combination on the Pred. There have been some pretty impressive times run this year with the Preds. Mabee we are getting close to being competitive with the Rappy's. I am sure everyone will be hard at work this winter putting together a new combination for the spring, could be interesting

sp700- the ds you are talking about did not run against 686's to my knowledge. The DS was fast for the little work done to it. They were some cool guys that traveled a long way to get here

Jammer- i was talking glamis 2002 as i did not think predators were ouit sooner than that

i disagree with the point that was made that most machines that run good on dirt do the same in the sand! Because all the fast two strokes including a high h.p. 7mm shee does horrible in the local Dirt drags.... but are a handfull in the sand! But i do agree that a predator should do as well in dirt and sand..... i was thinking of the rest of the polarises with the other trannys.

It's hard for the high HP bikes to get enough traction in the dirt. Even wedge tires still try to spin too much. But those same bikes with a paddle and set up right will have no option but to go in the sand. I have a buddy with an alky Banshee that runs faster in the sand than he does on dirt for that very reason.

Default 14min LOOK!!!!!!!

Is there a diference from 2 stroke to 4 stroke HP in hard packed dirt & sand? does the 2stroke lug more than the 4stroke in hard pack stuff? I thought 2 strokes need to turn more RPM's to get the HP than 4strokes? I'm dumb when it comes to these things but need to know. I thought that 4strokes made more torck @ lower RPM's than a 2stroke, that's why they need to bust loose more than a 4stroke @ the line to make the HP that they need? I guess someone will fill me in & let me know, I don't know as much as I thought that I did I already feel dumb for asking this OWELL! I've seen fast 2 & 4 strokes & don't know why they run so different?!
Later!
