Default Pros & Cons

Going to buy a exhaust system for 03 shee, sst or t-6? Aren't they basically the same, the charts that i've seen have been about the same. The bike is stock now but will slowly start ading parts. Ride everything from trail, drag race, mx, sand pits. I'd like to get one that would best fit the all around performance from low to top. What ya fellas think about it? any info would help
Thankz

Definately the sst, they have a much stronger bottom than the toomey's and the toomeys strong punch and high revving style will be a handfull on tight mx tracks. You might want to look at the PTR mid-range pipes. I've seen them dyno'd and they pick up good and early on the bottom(holeshot mx), STRONG midrange (hill climbing power) and rev out almost as good as the toomey's on top end (occasional dragging). I would also get the pro-flow filter adapter w/ a K&N or foam filter.

No problem.

I don't think ANY banshee pipe sounds "queer". The sst's have a smooth whailing tone while the pro-circuits, toomey's, cpi's have a raspy dirtbike sounding tone. I like the sound of the fmf's but the best sound I've ever heard on any atv was a guy that did some custom work and made some toomey silencer fit some fmf fatty's. I havn't heard the ptr mids but the look and perform awesome. They tuck up into the frame kinda like the stock pipes so you can cruise around in shorts. The pro-circuits are a good pipe the they come on too strong for mx, anybody that has ever ridden a 'shee around the track w/ high-rev pipes knows its a handfull. My suggestion is find whoever you can that has a 'shee and try out diff. pipes. I would seriously look into the sst's or the ptr mids though if you plan on doing trails and mx. Mod the head next after a pipe and filter, then start doing chassis mods (-2 swingarm, shocks, axle, a-arms) but that's a whole nother story.
