Default calif. raptor vs. anywhere else raptor

me and my buddy just bought are first raptors both 04 and have heard that the california raptors dont have as much horsepoweras the other states. is this true. anyways i woluld like to know of any information that you guys might know. and if is true is there anything you can do to change it. thanks alot

I think there is something different with the emissions...

Ya I think they stuff a little extra in the pipes to pass the strict emission laws, nothing mechanical or major is changed, just whats in the pipe i think. Get a slip on, new filter and jet kit, you will be much happier with your machine anyways.

To get rid of all the emissions change to an aftermarket carbuerator plus all the above that was mentioned.

I heard that all the raptors were the same now, that only in 01-02 there was a seperate california model. I don't know if that's true or not for sure though.
