Default Making it Faster?

Im wanting to make my 01 Raptor Faster while keeping it Reliable. This Raptor is Great Everything is stock but i can beat stock bore (piped and jetted k&n etc...) raptors in a drag by about 1 quad length. I want to smoke them =)... As most know Christmas will be here soon, Can anyone give me ideaas to what would make my raptor faster while keeping the reliability top notch?? We sometimes ride trails but imostly drag race at the parks we go to. Any ideas to make me faster. Could Someone also tell me how to slam my raptor for drag racing purposes or Should i just get struts? Any sites that can show me how to polish my sidecovers, or sites that talk alot about modifying a Raptor? What tires do you guys and gals use when drag racing raptor a raptor (Grass or dirt) Sorry this is so long im curious to learn about modifying my raptor or tweaking it the best i can.

THANKS for your time
Travis

well before you do any motor work you should get a pipe and filter and jet kit thats a good place to start because you will need this anyway

Ive heard stage 2 cams dont work to well on Stock bore because it dont like to take off well, but then agian from only one person! Any oppinions on this. What type of Power gains will i see with Sparks X-6, DUAL K&N's, Hotcam stage 2? Hey, we all have to start somewhere! Ahhh forgot to ask if i should change any other internals with the mods above? Im so new to engine work

Thanks agian for the replies!

If you want the full meal deal go with a 12:5:1 je piston, stage 2, 686 bore and hone, porting, SS valves (oversized or stock) all done by craycraft (package deal 1635 for all) and Sparks X-6 exuaust that is the hot ticket... Also I think 14 was running stock bore with stage 2???

Hahaha i wish i could go full out right now but i cant afford 2000 at the time. If the stage 2 Requires Motor work i will have to stay away from it and go with the stage 1.
