how to make raptor faster than yfz450?

See your other thread.
A 686 will beat a piped YFZ 450.
Riding my Wife's mild 686 I lost to my Buddy's Wife on Her YFZ450 by a 1/2 length but, I am about 75 lbs heavier than her (150# vs. 225#).
Once I got a 200# rider on her quad I didn't have any problems with the YFZ.
She has a Full Yoshi Titanium pipe (4 lb. pipe vs. 14 lb stock pipe.)
She was losing to me until I re-jetted her quad then she was able to get a couple more lengths.
If the guy your are racing is over 200# you shouldn't have a problem on a long hill. The YFZ doesn't have the torque to hold third gear up some of the steeper sand hills.

Thanks dune me. Mine is a stock bore though. I don't know what the jets are because i just bought it and it came with the mods already done. I am supposed to race one this weekend. No hills prob just a straightaway down a dirt road.

The next morning I was going to put a 13 on the front, but...
