Whats a good run for 1/8th mile? Id like to run a sub 8 second, is that possible with a stock swing arm?

ok i just got back last night (sunday) from cordova drag strip and i ran my yfz450 and ran a 9.30 as my fastest time. and i almost made it to top speed. that was with a completly stock quad with no airbox lid. i dont think banshees are as fast as 450s so youll prolly run slower than that. i wheeled pretty good every time because i got 100% traction.....
i dought you will get below 9.50 but good luck and make sure you know all the rules and regs before you take off for the track.. to run u have to have boots. helmet leather coat. tether switch. there could be more rules where you are racing but id call and make sure...
have fun most of all and let that thing eat.

Nick, I put a 16 tooth on the front of my Banshee, a set of McCreary flattrack tires, and my homemade wheelie bars and went out to the track a couple of months ago. It pulled 1.66 60ft times, ran a 5.05 in 330ft, and ran a 8.05 at 81mph in the 1/8. This is with a stock swingarm. The bike really wanted to wheelie hard so it was pretty violent taking off even with the bars. My bike is a 350cc with minimal work done and my porting. Bubba
