will a stock raptor beat a stock honda 400ex in a strait away? if not what would i need? (a pipe,stroker kit, bore it?)

 

No problem, You will smoke a mildly modded 400EX in a straight line. The Track may be a different story![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Not knocking on the 400ex but a Raptor can ride a wheelie right by the little 400. its SOHC (RIGHT?) Single Over Head Cam and 400cc. Raptor MONSTER 660 CC!!!!!! lol. Dont worry you will have no trouble in a Drag, but MX might be a different story.

I think 400ex is superior.
Of course in a drag race the raptor will be faster, it has bigger stronger engin.
Its higher, less lenght, less width, heavier. Technical ride is better with 400ex.

 

I don't know about the ex being sohc.........but I know the rappy is........

and if you can't SMOKE a mildly modded/piped 400ex with your stock raptor.........u need to get back on a bicycle.......LoL
when mine was stock I walked all over a ported/piston(pump gas)/camed/yoshi exhaust ex.........
ran off on the lil boustad
he was pissed.........especially since I had that hulled out stockpipe.......LoL

 

400ex is single overhead cam (sohc) and it actually has more stock rear wheel horsepower than the raptor but get an aftermarket exhaust system and you'll uncork the power of that big 660 but either way, my 440ex will **** all over that raptor
