since the Raptor 660R is lighter than the Banshee..Do you think it will out run the Banshee?

 

no its 10lb heavier, stock yes it will out run banshees, modified banshees probably will out run it.

 

Do you think it will out run a DS-650

 

It should be a lot faster than the 'bomb. That is goint to be a good shootout. The Raptor vs the DS-650.

 

just got my august dirt wheels on page 59. this is word for word out of the mag. it says during there tests, the raptor was compared to ds650, 400ex and banshees. "it smokes them all in any drag race" says beal. "the raptors motor is stricly high-performance. it's fastest in top speed and drag races of 100 and 200 yard's". although beal would'nt give any specific mph readings, the raptor would have to top out in the low 80's to beat its competitors.

Ya, the stock Raptor may beat a stock Banshee, but once you strip some weight off the Banshee and put a pipe on it.....see ya Dinosaur!!!!

The Raptor simply cannot lose the same amount of weight that a Banshee can....it is as about as lean as a 4-Stroke can get....and no aftermarket 4-Stroke pipe can do what an aftermarket 2-Stroke pipe can for a motor!

I do like the look of the Raptor however! Especially the headlights. I wonder if they work as good as they look?

Well, I'm not a honda fan but, The R is the best atv ever made... I ride a banshee now but I know the R is alot better..

 

Are you running the stock Banshee Frame or a complete "outlaw"chassis with Honda spindles, brakes, etc? If you are using the stock frame what suspension mods have you done?
