Was there any year of the banshee that yamaha did some major changes? Is there a better year to get a banshee (Made more parts of these years or something.)

What year banshee would be a good bike to get or are they all about the same?

What year did they change the Ingition?

Stay away from the very first years due to having J arms of course. They get hard to find sometimes. Only other thing that has changed has been some of the electrical stuff. Functional brake lights and such. The CDI box changed in 94 or 96 I think. But I had to change one in my 93 and it was nearly $70 higher for that year model than say one for a 98 model. So I bought one for a 98 and wired my plugs on to it. Works great and just taped off the extra wire. Not much has changed on the bike other than that stuff.
