Default PLEASE HELP!!

I posted this question earlier and only two people responded so please give advise. I get my 686 raptor back this week and need to know how people have jetted them for various elevations. I have a 12.1 piston, hotcam 2 with springs, yosh full exhaust and k&n filter with lid off. I ride everywhere from sea level to 11,000 feet. Please let me know your modes if a little different, what elevation you ride at, what your jetting is, pilots are, and how many turns on the screws. Please help cause i have no idea where to start.

Default PLEASE HELP!!

I run a Stage II 11:1 686 at about 1500 - 3000 ft. I assume you meant 1100 ft right? In my opinion, you will never get your bike to plane out correctly with the stock needles. I would recommend purchasing a dynojet kit and using their needles. The springs in the kit are the same tension as your stocks so there is no advantage to them other than they are new. Change your needles and use the jetting guide from the kit as a starting point. From there, it's up to you to fine tune it. Let us know how it goes.

Default PLEASE HELP!!

i tried the dyno jet kit and it ran like crap. i spent several days trying to tune it and it wouldnt come around. it always seemed to run better on the stock jets.

Lets see, no pilots, needle turned about ---- far down, power jet almost wide open.
And thats a sea level.
Aren't Lectrons the best.

Don't ya just hate a smart @$$.

When I had stock carbs (on gas) at sea level, I was jetted with 27.5 pilots, about 3 turns on each of the fuel screws, needles in the second to highest position, 190/195 mains, and this is with clamp-on filters.

Pretty much the same engine as you.
BTW I didn't like the Dyno Junk kit either.
