Default best question of the YEAR

made yah look...
anyhow i have an 02 raptor it has a +2 durablue axle... and right now it has offset steel wheels on the front (im not sure what the offset is) anyways for trail and woods and general fun riding what would you recomend for the front a-arms? +2+0?? or id like to get back to useing stock offset rims as to relieve some of the pressure on the bearings.. but am really lost on what it should be...? any help from those that have done up the raptors would be great..

Default best question of the YEAR

Well personally... I have 3/1 a-arms on my bike. With stock offset wheels it puts the bike right at 50 inches wide. I have heard that there are guys that have problems with the bike wanting to push through corners with the +1 forward but I don't notice it riding the dunes.

Anything wider is a plus in my book.

Default best question of the YEAR

I've got +3/+1 long travel and it's just a little too wide. I am running 1"/4" offset front rims (least offset available, stock is 2"/3") and had to put a little preload on the springs to make it 50". If I were to do it over, I'd go with +2 so I could drop the front end a little more. Haven't noticed any problems with "pushing" and the up 1" but I'm just a rookie MX racer, others have more experience.

BTW - Nice eye catching post topic:-)

Default best question of the YEAR

I have the Alba Pro-Comps +2+1 and Durablue 2+2 and its a great combo for me. Quad sits around 51" wide and its a great advantage in dez racing...except when I get in the tight rocks. But all in all, I really dig the way it handles the whoops and faster sections of the courses....
