Default Why is no one making new intake systems for the raptor?

I spent a lot of time learning and looking into ram effect or resonator intake systems. It is used on cars, dragsters and even racing bikes but no one seem to have thought of making a new intake system for the raptor. I used some of the formulas to determine what would work best on a raptor and the 1st thing is have noticed is that the intake runners are way to short. The airbox volume is also way off. I believe it might be possible to make a new intake system for the raptor and get some extra power. Anybody working on this?

Good post! What kind of numbers are you getting on the stock intakes too air box volume with the lid off? Engine builders have been sitting the carbs back for more intake volume...so you are on the right track.

Is this kind of the same thing as velocity stacks? Surely someone (aka sixsixt) could make some aluminum tubes for this.
