Raptor problem, won't stay on!
#1
Hey guys, one of my friends just replaced his alba exhaust system jetted at 155/160, with 27.5 mains, not sure where the needles are at, with a yosh comp system. He left the jetting the same seeing as how he wasn't gonna run with the lid and figured that would have been a good place to start anyway. But now the darn thing won't stay on. It also has the pro-flow with K&N. So he jetted up one more size and his head pipes were glowing big time, but still wouldn't stay on. He jetted back down and didn't have the glowing problem, but still would not stay on. It would only stay on with the choke on. Once you turned the choke down it would sputter and die. ANY IDEAS WHY??? Thanks in advance...

go up to 160/165 mikunis mains,25 pilot jet and the lid off, fuel mix screws at 2 3/4 turns out or 3 on the right screw, that should be about right..may be a little rich but just good enough...i ride glamis and Dumont and that was perfect because i live at 3000 feet and ride at like sea level too 1000 feet o it ran a little rich wher i live but the other places was perfect..

My guess is that you mean that it won't stay running when you let it idle. Another guess is that your idle mixture screws are set on the lean side. Set them at about 3 turns out to start with and play from there... don't go too much more than that... it won't do much good.
