Default Need new upper A-Arms

i wrecked the bike pretty bad.. If I went with all oem replacement parts, I would be looking at a $1400 parts bill. That's why I'm trying to be a little on the cheap side. I'm really trying to get this thing fixed fast and cheap. I still need to find a good deal on an axle and some wheels. The next time my buddy says "That hill is way too steep. Don't do it!" I'll listen to him...

i don't know why they keep deleting my responses. but i quess i'll just keep posting until they decide to communicate what i'm doing wrong.

anyways...You need to consider that if you choose to extend the a-arms you will need to change the shocks as well (these can get pricey) as well as the brake lines. and for that matter. if you do change the front end then you must consider changing the axle as well to even it up.

it gets expensive...but man. it handles completely diffrent.

Good luck

Stock shocks can be revalved at a considerably lower price than aftermarket replacements. And brake lines will work with extended a arms if you simply remove them from the plastic guard. granted this is a short term fix, but it got me around until the time was availible to mess with the lines.

You'd have a hard time revalving the stock shocks...... they're sealed. Unless there's a secret that I don't know about. Mine are resprung... and that works ok but no match for a good set of aftermarket shocks! Axis will be getting my business one of these days!

I looked all over the net and here on this forum and "Ricky Stator" seems to be the only replacement upper a-arms that are stronger and cheaper then oem at $209 for a pair vs $390. Am I correct or are there any other manufactures making them? That's still a great deal but I was hoping for some variety. Does anyone else stock sell "Ricky Stator" parts? They seem to be closed because of the SoCal wild fires.
Thank you everyone for your help on this.
