Really! Alot of these quad parts are way over priced. Like the u-joint I needed: yamaha factory $125; after market at dealership $65 matched up at local auto parts store $17; Telling them about it at the dealership; PRICELESS!

im just wondering because i was considering building my own set of arm's for my raptor... i mean the concept is there with the stock.. add a 1" and diffrent ball joints and away we go? i can get the chromoly steel and stainless.. (stainless a-arms would rock) and bending the pipe is no problem...

i say go for it you might find it fun and if they work i might have to have u make me a set for my yfz... because i know i dont have 600 bucks for some aftermarkets...
just dont hit a 100ft table top on the test run start out small LOL that could be disastourous....
when you find yourself under the catogory *broke* you seem to be able to build alot of things motor/tranny mounts crossmembers braces brackets all kinds

i dont think the stainless would break... i also doubt the welds would break since i would have it done by professionals... being in the fields of work ive been in i know lotsa people that can weld just gotta price out the metal and get the ball joints...

the bender welder and everything else is not a problem considering i have 3 machine shops and 2 welding shops that are all close friend... im going to look into chromoly steel instead being it would be easier to find and less costly.. the biggest deal offcourse is the jigs while welding...

Now just for a moment, stop laughing at your Honda 400ex riding buddies. New upper a-arm $55. Need a lower, only $36. Yep, those prices include the whole damn a-arm, balljoint, and every little seal. It really bugs me when a company rips me off. I don't mind spending if it is the going rate but when one company gouges you to death, it is time to protect yourself. This is one of the major reasons I stopped riding my Raptor - got tired of paying for repairs. Still planning to make it another man's nightmare.
