Default Raptor Gearing Trouble...Please Help

Ok, I have a 2003 Raptor with the mods listed in my signature. First gear is very low. No problem. I don't use 1st very often. BUT 2nd gear is way too high (i really need to overuse the clucth to start in 2nd gear). I rev out 1st, shift to 2nd, and the rpm's drop drastically and there is no "snap" in the power if I blip the throttle. I need to fan the clutch to bring up the rpm's. I don't care if I lose a little top speed, I just want it to respond much better then it is in 2nd and 3rd gears.

What gearing should I use to remedy this? Should I drop to a 12 tooth front, or go up to a 14 tooth front? What about the rear sprocket? Should I just leave it stock?

In a couple of months (around Christmas) I plan on getting a +2 extended swingarm, +2 Alba pro comp a-arms, durablue 2 + 2 extended axle, and some suspension. I might just revalve the rear shock, but I am getting new front shocks. At that time, I am going to need a new chain because of the extended swingarm, but when I change the chain, I always change the sprockets at the same time. So, I just need a cheap front sprocket and maybe a cheap rear for now, but no chain.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Dont know why your having problems with your quad, Ive got an 03 as well and with a 14T and a front drop kit, I can pull 3rd gear wheelies no problem. If you think 1st gear goes by fast, with the 12T it will go by even faster, but if you dont use it, your ok. I would try the 12T ($15 max) and . So just get some cheapo sprockets and play around with it, but I honestly think your gears arent your problem if your not getting any "snap."

Isn't it 1 tooth down in front equals 3 added to the back.
