Wolverine

I'd rather shift myself plus there are soo many mods available since it's the same as a Warrior internally, I can't see the Bruin getting that kind of aftermarket support.

Wolverine- but really, it looks like the Bruin and Wolvy and Warrior use the same engine. But I vote the Wolvy because it's the lightest 4x4 out there, and has manual shift...

The Bruin engine is a new design. Not another Wolvy-Warrior Engine. The Bruin is heavier, based on the old Kodiak 400 frame. I don't see it getting any after-market performance parts. It seems to me to just be a working, auto trans utility machine. Not at all for fun or sportier riding. Ya know what my pick would be. I just wish Yammy would update the Wolvy. All these new 4x4s and none are light weight and sporty like a Wolvy. Give me a YFZ with a front diff and drive shaft. You know they could do it...They did it with Warrior when they first made the Wolverine.

The Wolv is still, to me, the "if I could only have one bike to do everything" pick, for sure. It is lagging behind now though, and there is no reason they can't upgrade the power while keeping the weight down. As many Wolvs as they sell it is about time they gave us an upgrade to the market. It isn't like that market has any real competition anyways... probably the reason they haven't changed the Wolv for so long

Competition breeds better products for us.... who will make a nice true sport utility next?

You know it won't be Honda... they never do anything without pressure. Polaris is too heavy and auto, not gonna work. Suzuki? Usually utility minded and heavy as well. Bomb? Doubtful - not their market... Kawi? might be the only real option but again, doubtful....

I know what you mean Thomez. The only thing that was ever similar to a Wolvy was a Scrambler. Still they are 100 lbs heavier. The makers are putting some better suspension and other features on their 4x4s but its all on the super size units. Nothing light weight and sporty. I agree Honda won't do it. I have heard a rumor from the owner of a Yammy dealership that there may be a new Wolvy in the works. I agree with ya about Suzuki, but they did suprise me with the Z400. Arctic Cat hardley ever makes anything on their own. Kawasaki? Maybe they have done alright with the Praries. I would like to see Bombardier stick one of those rock solid brute Rotax engines in a light 4x4 but I really don't see it happening.

Not to mention the Scrammy was an auto as well as heavier.

The Yamaha rumor about a new Wolv has been around since ... I got mine at least. I was hearing it then, I think even some DirtWheels rumor a while back. The only change for 10 years now has been the added pull started. That's all I know of.

That Z400 motor in a Wolvy like chassis would be nice - don't expect to see it though. They, to my knowledge, have never made a sporty 4x4. They are all about high range/low range, lockers, pulling power.. etc. I remember some of those Zukis that you had like 16 gear ratios to choose from before it was over. High range, low range, 2wd, 4wd .. it was rediculous.... lol

Arctic Cat's are all heavy and IRS - not gonna be what we are looking for.

IF Kawi made something it would be 99% likely that it would be an auto - ok, why lie. 99.999%

Bomb - not their market I don't think. Plus, they are definitely not known for being light. Again, not what we want.

It doesn't look good buddy. I'm glad I converted to the 2WD world with a 4x4 backup. So far its a lot more fun...

WOLVERINE hands down! We've got a 2003 with engine mods and FULL ELKA Suspension and my wife thinks it's adream to ride!

It will go anywhere and is light enough that she never gets into trouble.

I've had 4 other 4X4 ATV's and the Wolverine is the best!
