Default Raptor 686, is this normal?

hey guys. I noticed that my coolant reserver gets almost full after a normal to hard ride, then it goes all the way to almost empty when it cools down. is this normal? I don't think it's a head gasket since we just put the hp head gasket along with the kit not more than 5 days ago. the coolant light never came on tho. alos the rad-fan is working fine.

what you guys think.
btw, my rappy kicks a$$ now I raced way too many banshees with all of the bolt-ons and won, but I am having hardtime whooping on those with internal mods, oh well

It will move some with heat I think. It sounds like you are one the verge of over heating.IMO
What happens if you fill it up to where it is supposed to be, then ride?

sounds like you both may need head gaskets.its really easy on the hp gasket to have the fire ring slip out of position when you install it.

The two bolts that go from the bottom of the head worked loose on mine and the coolant over flowed on the first ride with the HP head gasket. I figured it was blown and had nothing to lose by retorqing the head. I did that and it stoped the level doesn't even move unless its WFO for a long run but even then it only moves about 1/2". Do what Bartlett said and it might stop!
