top speed on a warrior

Yeah you could really tell when your opened up in 6th gear you could hear the valves starting to float, the sound of the engine changes. At that high RPM the spring pressure can't over come the weight of the valve to keep it closed before the nose of the cam comes back around to fully open it. Basicly inertia holds the valve wide open.

i think i have floated the valves on my ozark, does it sound like just a hum unstead of a beat sort of lol, could floating the valves affect the timing if the valves are almost "always open this means when you slow down the rocker will be on a different part of the caml correct me if im wrong about some because i have never seen alll this stuff in real life only on lawnmowers and things on the internet im only 13 and i think i know alot about this stuff

Anyways, if I get a 400ex, knowing about the whole sprocket issue, should I go down just 1 tooth on the rear sprocket? I figure by doing this, I will have enough power to pull it through and I will have more top end than my friend's stock 400ex

Now, if you replaced your 20" rears with 22" rears, you'd gain about 6mph Much more expensive tho

Dont you think 75 is a bit much for warrior with not that many internal engine modifications? A stock Warrior will only go 60mph maybe a tad less, if you are only changing minor things like exhaust and intake modifications, its going to be very hard to pick up 15mph, I dont care how high you gear it. There comes a piont when an engine wont pull the gear no matter how long the straight away is. Killercudas warrior might have a better chance than some of the others because he is using such a top end oriented cam, he has more power to rev out as long as he can keep it in the powerband. But he wont have the bottom end that you have, so it may take him awhile to get there. Even with his, I doubt you will see 70mph. Warrior dont have rev limiters so they will rev as far and the valve springs will let them. You can port and polish the head and change cams and race valve springs and go with a 366 (.80 over) race engine that has very good volummetic efficiency and that would probably be you best bet for a top speed engine. This goes back to what the guy previously stated about the Chevrolet 302 race engine versus the 305 camaro engine. (bore vs. stroke.)

The only mod I have on mine is the exhaust and I've hit 68mph (109.9km/h according to my trailtech) albeit on a slight down grade. So for someone with a top end mod I don't think it's unreasonable to grab 75, especially if the rider is good and light.
I know mine would never reach that kind of speed because I just don't have the mods in it, and won't have them either. Modding quads in Canada is much more expensive than in the states .. that and the fact that were I live, aftermarked parts are hard to get. I've had to order anything I've wanted from the mainland. That adds shipping charges to the already costly parts.
