banshee v.s raptor
#11
The handling isnt bad, but it isnt near a honda. The banshee's handling might feel not-so-good if you just ride one for the first time. if you ride it for a while, the handling is out of the question, you wont notice it being not as good, but it isnt bad handling at all.

Let me make a big time correction to all that think the Raptor handles better (as in turning and sliding) than the Shee, You are wrong, now if you say suspension wise the Raptor is better as in soaking up the bumps you are correct, my Raptor with +3 set up and works shocks and aftermarket tires could not slide anywhere anywhere as good as my stock suspension Shee, now in straight line suspension the Raptor would soak up the bumps better then my Shee. The Raptor can not take high speed sliding turns as good as the Shee, not even close and I have a scare on my back to prove it. Sorry for being so abrupt but I have owned both and speak from experience, much lower center of gravity on the Shee with the on the demand throttle response makes for breaking the rear tires loose for a fun sliding/donut turning/berm busting experience that is not duplicate by the Raptor. So to sum it up if it's a straight line the Raptor has the Shee beat, but add a few turns and the fun factor is now handed over to the Shee.

Hiram.....I believe you.
When you own both you obviously aren't being bias.
I ride mostly desert, lots of sand trails, hills, rock, whoops, off camber unpredictable stuff. All the things you might expect to find in the desert. I don't own a Banshee but have ridden a couple and they definately slid much better and feel more stable. When I pull long, hard slides on my Raptor I have to lean way, way out and it feels like I am just on the verge of flipping. On the long, striaght rough stuff though it feels very compitent. So in short, it sounds like you are right on.
