Default banshee to raptor

Hey everybody, I am new to the forums and would like to rcognize all the other members for posting and putting on a good forum.
I have a simple question? Would it be a wise choice to to go from a 2002 Alba Banshee to a 2001 raptor with similar mods. The shee is killing me with the price of race fuel these days. Its fast as hell but its burning a hole in my pocket. But I also know that the beloved raptor has tranny problems but the one im looking at hasnt had any tranny probs yet. what do u guys think. Oh the banshee is for sale by the way.

What have you done to the banshee? Unless you've raised the compression you don't even need race gas. I wouldn't trade the shee for an 01' I might for an 02' though, but not unless it had an equal amount of mods/money invested into it.

I have the prodesign cool head with 18cc domes. pro circuit pipes and silencers, jetted, k+n air filter, and the wiseco high compression piston. the raptor is piped and jetted,

Buy 20cc domes for about $70 and race fuel will no longer be needed, you will lose the snapiness and raise the powerband up some but not really effect top speed too much, give it a try before you make your decision or ride someones that's not running race fuel with similar mods then make your decision.

That's what I was thinking. I dont think you'll notice much if any difference. Heck, put some 22cc domes in it and put a +5 key in the flywheel and I bet you anything it will run as strong as it does right now on premium gas.

I would say the Raptor jumps better stock vs. stock. But if you plan on doing hardcore jumping dont jump with stock shocks.

Well it's easy really pull up a chair and sit down and look at the back end of your Shee for about 1 hour and if you like the view then trade for the Raptor

Naw both are great machines but I would keep the Shee.
