My dealer rejeted my 03 Grizzly and it seems to have lost a little on the top end(about 3 mph) and it has a little back fire when you slow down is it lean? They down jetted to solve a sputter.

 

Where was the sputter before?
Ride it for a bit and pull the plug.

 

It sputtered off idle and when you climb simi large hills. What is causing the back fire when you slow down. What will the plug look like.

 

It sounds like the problem with the sputtering is the float level. The popping on decell is a lean idle mixture.
I would put the original mains back in an turn the idle mixture screw out about a half a turn and adjust the float level.

The tip of the plug is light brown almost white it is dry and has a very small smell of gas. i rode it pretty hard yesterday in the creeks some at low speeds and it ran good seems to hae lost a little out of the hole could it be the down jet ?
