99 Grizzly vapour lock ( I think)
#1
Have noticed a couple of times out after the bike is good and hot and I stop for while for a break, When I go to leave I noticed a bit of chugging like I am not getting gas, if you hold the throttle steady it goes away. If you push more gas it gets worse. After the bike runs for a few minutes its ok. A friend says its a vapour lock. I looked for a fuel filter, could not find one so it can;t be plugged up. My friend said there is a bolt on the line at the bottom of the carb, if it is open , he said close it, and that will solve the problem. It is the only time this happens as I have described above.
Has any one else had a similar problem, and if so am I on the right track, i have not tried what my friend has suggested yet. But I think he is right.
Thanks for any help.
Keep the rubber side down.

If it happens again, put the end of the gas cap vent tube to your ear. If you hear it bubbling you have a kind of vapor lock. The gas line is hot. Insulate the gas line with a foil jacketed type such as for an example GM's battery cable insulator like on a 97 Chevy K1500. I have heard of that and the side covers removed.
