hey guys,jus got my raptor today and i love it,it goes fast enough where my eyes tear down the road lol....but anyway,is there any way to start out faster w/out making it die,cuz u cant jus let go of the clutch,and everytime i try to go fast from dead stop to go it will die,i can do it but i just wanna know if u can do it faster.....any info would be good

Your not using the clutch properly. You have too slowy release the clutch until it pops into gear and ull take off quick.. Just let off the clutch slowly and after your in gear just gun it and you should be gone out of there sight in seconds [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I get it now.....Lol i just about got her on tip toes just a min. ago lol.i gunned it out of the hole and shifted a little late and she pulled up like a horse!its dark to....but them bright *** raptor lights lite it up for ya good!i think my best gears are 2nd and 3rd,today when i 1st got it i had to see the power it had on a long strait away road,man i was goin so fast i couldnt hardly see lol,and also can u hold it in 5th gear floored, i was afraid i might blow it up....this is my 1st quad so....i dunno

HELLZ YES YOU CAN! lol. Why have a 5th gear if its gonna blow lol.. Glad you got the hang of the Raptor! Wait till you get that thing into the sand [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Well thing is I live in alabama,we aint got no sand!So that sux,you can't blow it up even if you got the screw on the throttle thing all the way out,i assume top speed on a stock raptor is 75,damn thas fast!i like gettin in peoples gravle driveway and power brakin it all the way to the end lol

Your only 100 lbs?-Be careful that is quite a machine for a 100 lb rider on his first quad.We were just talking about not preaching to others about wearing a helmet but i sure hope you are wearing one.I would suggest learning how to handle that raptor in the first few gears before you tear down the road wide open in fifth.If i am coming across as sounding like i am trying to tell you what to do thats okay i can live with that if it helps you to think about safety before you ride.Enjoy your raptor but also respect it.
