Raptor-Pursuit of Performace Perfection
#31
War99, you've obviously taken leave of your senses so keep it in your shorts okay? I'm excited to see the Raptor on the market and can't wait to ride one either. I'm buying a 2001 I just haven't decided what it will be. To make broad comments about the 400ex when so little is known about the Raptor is purely assinine. I don't ride a Honda but appreciate excellent machines and to say Honda riders won't be riding red for long in GNCC's is disrespecting what a competent machine Honda builds. Don't think the Hondas won't still be earning plenty of podium finishes, but it will be nice to see other colors banging bars and whistling through the woods.

war99 First off my panties are hardly in a bunch, I was just telling you that some of your statements weren't quite correct. If you have read any of my other posts you would have noticed I for one am very happy for the renewed interest in high perfomance machines, be they Yamaha, Bombardier, or Cannondale. This will only make the sport better for all of us. Secondly I have NO interest in selling my 400ex, it is a great machine which I am very happy with. Thirdly if you have actually ever done any woods riding you would know that all those extra cc's are not going to make you any faster in tight stuff. My 400 is quite capable in this area and an excellent all around machine. I'm sure Yamaha did their research with this quad but the fact is it HASN'T BEEN RELEASED YET!!! So you nor anyone else really knows what it is or is not capable of yet, so why don't we sit back relax and enjoy the re-emergence of the high performance market and quit with the childish cr#$.

Thanks Yamaha for producing a sport quad. I hope you didnt use that cheap, cheesie chain adjustment setup like all your other sport quads have. I hate too say it, but the Raptor has the same stance as Kawasakis ill-fated Tecate 4. Not the best handler. We all will see how the Raptor does next year on the GNC and GNCC series, until then lets keep the trash talk to a minimum. Speaking of trash talk.....
If you have a Raptor, and my 250R is there, you better just leave it on the trailer..............
Like I have always said, "When the gate drops, the BS stops"
