well exactly that... Are there any problems with the 450 yet? The only thing I know is somewhat weak swingarms... My friend bent his after he cased a double... I plan on getting a 450 if there isn't a bunch of first year problems... But I'm holding out untill I know what's all wrong with them.. So anyone?

well from my experienes from this weekend the clutch cables dont last to long mine is about 3 months old and she broke while at the badlands. Also the rear grab bar is a little easy to brake when u flip back on it a few times or so. Another fatality of the badlands. but other than that i havnt had any problems with mine. knock on wood.

well i heard the batter was too small or something like that(dirtwheels). the battery would heat up and the bike wouldn't run right. something like that anyways. not a big deal i don't think. a new battery is what 60 bucks?

I havent had any problems yet.
The lower A-arms arent the strongest, Dont run into a tree and you should be fine though. Ive heard there might be some water pump seal issues.
Minor things so far ...

The only way that could happen is someone screwed up, if you knew anything about the 450 you would know the cam mod is the best thing since sliced bread.
I do agree that the swingarm leaves a lot to be desired, my 1st one lasted 6hrs.

Here's a dumb question. Why didn't Yamaha put the cam in the position that everyone else is now putting it at, retarded one tooth or whatever? ... Seems odd to me. Were they trying to make it tamer at stock form or? Thanks

weak swingarms and A-arms, huh?
they should have done what Honda did to bring that sucker down to 350lbs... LOSE THE BATTERY AND STARTER, instead of shaving weight off of suspension parts that you know are going to take a beating...
it's supposed to be a race-bike right? or at least the closest thing to it from any current manufacturer...
so what would you rather have, electric start OR suspension parts that actually hold up???
I'm waiting for the R!
