11:1 or 12:1 power difference

03 what gearing, paddle type and size are you using.

13/40 gearing and i am on skat trak 21-11-9 double buff extreme haulers 8 paddle... i am going to be switching to 14 front tooth and maybe get some reg. haulers but in a 22 and 7 paddle..

Sandneck adding compression will give you power across the entire range not just low end.


Selector.....what are you talking about you don't need race gas on 12/1???

would you think the 11:1 105mm would make as much power or more power as the 12:1 102mm? Considering everything else were the same (meaning cam, port, etc...)

Ward, thanks, do you know if its the same on a 2 smoke?
I know when we dropped the compression on my bro in laws 250R (with a thicker head gasket), it really took away the low end power, and added a substantial amount on top.

I don't have a clue how it relates to a 2 smoke.
I know a lower comp two stroke will out rev a higher comp one.

Sounds good, I was assuming that it effected a 4 the same as a 2, you know what they say about assuming.....

a single point increase in compression is worth about a 4% increase in torque with all other parts remaining the same.

Yer best bet, core reliability, longevity and all is a 727 or 740 kit on 11:1. You can beat on that all day without melting anything down or boiling over...........
