Glamis, unwritten Rules?

I was there during Thanksgiving weekend, what are some of the things people shouldn’t do. For example if your entering gecko rd. I was parked on the right side, when some buds and me got ready for a ride, of course we would have to cross the road, some people would see us coming and start blocking so we couldn’t pass? (I guess they didn’t want us to disrupt their campsite) Sup with that? What are some of the things people do that **** you off when you’re riding?

There's thousands of acres of dunes to ride and buttheads have to race around the camp sites. Now that pisses me off People that race one hill and one hill only is chicken scratch also.

People that litter **** me off. People that buzz through others camps **** me off. People that drink to no end and become more obnoxious than usual **** me off. Drunks in general **** me off. Fools that leave beer bottles and cans in the dunes and not in trash cans **** me off. Basicaly, anything that involves the consumption of alcohol will sooner or later **** me off. Wonder if I could convince Arnold to make alcohol against the law? On that weekend if you have to cross the road to get to the dunes you'll most likely need to go to the end of the road near sand highway to access the dunes. There won't be many if any, gaps between camps to access.

I have to agree with wshrdskin. Even in the desert, there is nothing worse than riding and finding trash and beer bottles littering the trails and campsites. If people can't be responsible enough to pick up their own garbage, than they shouldn't ruin the riding experience for the rest of us. Pack it in, Pack it out. OH...and the people who ignore the "NO PALLETS" rule. Nothing like riding your new set of Sand Sharks across a bed of nails and ruining your weekend. Firewood isn't that expensive!!! OK!!...OK!!....NOW I'M REAAAALLY MADD!!!!...

wshrdskin,
How long of a distance is this?

He camped west of Gecko road. The road itself is maybe a couple miles long I think. People camp all along this road, both sides. Most probably wouldn't mind people accessing between camps but a lot of people don't respect and blast through stirring up dust etc. Thats just along that road. There's many other areas to camp. I think the number total for this last turkey day was 400,000 people.

LOL, thats why I go to Dumont. Way less people and a more family oriented atmosphere. My guess is there was 100,000 people at Dumont this last turkey day. Just a guess. It was also the first time I've seen idiots at Dumont. You can see that in my signature videos at the Dumont page called fools riding through fire.

OMG,
I never realized you had all those video's.
I guess I am kinda backwards because around here we just use cut up pieces of wood for fires.
