Default Beware when buying online....

A wise bit of advice. I had mine stolen last week myself. The online company caught it and
notified all customers of the theft, and no charges were put on mine, as I cancelled it promptly.

But it was a hassle. So now I do not put my card numbers online for any reason. If the company
I wish to buy something from that I have seen online doesn't have a phone order system, or
if they want to charge me more for a phone order, we don't do business. Simple as that.

Try asking the places if they take paypal. Most will. Only other option is one of those fraud protection cards.

I have never had a problem buying anything online! Make sure you are buying from a reputable company before handing out you number!

They could have got your cc info any where like the gas station or even at a resturant.

I only use paypal for online transaction for the last 3 years and have had no problems.

You can also get nailed with an Trojan horse virus on your computer. That can give your number and info to whoever. I've known a few thats its happened to, with myself.

The reputation of the company your are doing business with makes no difference if a hacker
breaks into their system and steals your number, and 67,000 other peoples as well.

Any system can be hacked, it just takes time.

If you buy online, make sure the company does NOT retain your CC number in its' computer
system, otherwise it IS vulnerable.
