The DS is out of my price range,
i'm not suggesting the DS or nething but the msrp is now $5,999 just so you no that.
since you ride trails and sand i would go with the raptor cuz it has enough power for sand and its narrow and has reverse for trails. the yfz would be cool but if you don't want to pay the extra money and the the Raptor would prolly fit you better.

the bottom line is.. the predator is the best bang for your buck quad out there.. great suspension, handling, power, easy maintanace...

I have had many bikes and here is my suggestion; If you cant afford the Raptor, get the z400!! Its way cool, comfortable and easily handled through the sand and trails. I wouldnt buy the YFZ, only because it feels like your on a yamaha breeze and the handle bars are way to low, also, it rides rough if your not going over 40 mph. My buddy has a YFZ450 and from riding my Z400 and Raptor, the Z was the most comfortable and easily handled bike.

Its a nice ride, ride one and you will see what I am talking about. Plus the Z will climb anything my Raptor will.

i agree the z is comfortable.. but it doesnt have that much power...
a predator is the same price as a Z.. and you get alot more with a pred.. and if a Z will climb it.. a pred will climb it while passing that Z...

The Predator sounds like a really nice bike. Everything I have read has said the same. I have also heard that Polaris is very good at fixing problems. Yamaha seems hard pressed to admit anything.

I really appreciate all of the replys. I really hate dropping large amounts of cash, and feeling like I got shafted in the end.

The YFZ is an awesome bike, but the price really kills me.

The chutes on the face of Sand Mountain Little Sahara Utah that Selector is talking of. A stock Raptor with a 200lb rider will not make it up. If it does, it will be in first gear and you will be going very slow. You better have some haulers on cause anything else you'll just dig a hole going as slow as you will about 3/4 the way up.
