When playing around in the yard!
Tonight i figured i'd take my blaster around the yard to make sure it was running good, since it's been sitting for a few. So i took it up the road, then i decided, lets do some wheelies.
So i started messing around..Got going in second...let it slow down, gased it to the power band and nailed hard, I got it going with the front end about 12" from being up and down. Then all of a sudden it just came all the way up. I was going about i'd say 15, and stupid me..i didn't just let go of the handle bars, too late to hit the back brakes.
I went over backwards..pulling the 4-wheeler over with me, i went sideways. and landed hitting my head off the ground, then the blaster landed on its side ALMOST! hitting my ankle with the footpeg. Been a good night for nerfs.
All that got hurt was my pride, since my girlfriend had just pulled up and i hadn't noticed. Talk about feeling like a moron.

But stupid me tried doign some good wheelies and next thing you know I nearly flip it. Got my wheels about 5 foot in the air.

I was doing weelies on my 87 bayou... (this was about 10 years ago) with someone on the back of the machine... Well anyway, I popped the clutch and gave er' and my buddy fell off the back and got his foot cought in the rear rack.... I must had dragged the poor guy 50 feet through rocks and puddles before the front end hit the ground and I stopped. And when we did stop his helmet had a big crack right up the centre! Talk about scarry. For him especially! Anyway...Moral, wear a helmet, and don't weelie with passengers! Yea it was dumb but when your 12 you just don't think. (Unless you read this first.)

we had a 250x when i was about 10 and my dad was driving and i was on the back he was going through the yard on a wheelie and my head was draging on the ground luckily I had a helmet on. and the other day i was on 300ex going up a steep hill ridng a wheelie I was just kinda babying her up the hill and all of a sudden the front end came up i hit the rear brake to late she fell right on top of me then fell sideways against a tree so now i had the foot peg stuck in my arm and I couldn't move so i end up lifting one side with my arm and getting my arm out from under the peg and lifting her off the tree and ridng home my arm hurt for about a week. moral don't be a dumba*^ and ride wheelies up steep hills next to tree's.

My friend has damaged 2 bikes is about a month including himself. He was wheeling his 98 Banshee and did a stand up and bent the frame up about 5-6 inches on the one side. nothing a little heat and touch up paint couldnt fix. He then was wheeling a 91 250x in about 3 rd when th erear grab bar bent off and grabbed the rear plastic and threw him off with the bike landing on him . Just a bunch of bruses but nothing really bad. So we replaced the broken off grab bar.
His brother kust bought a 2000 400ex and i said do u want to wheelie this bike. He looked and noticed that when u bend the grab bar u have to replace the complete sub frame. So he wont be wheeling that bike any time soon. Lucky he had his helmet on in both accidents

I have one that well make you shudder...This last Sunday I went for a ride down a well traveled logging road. Nice forest, no traffic, very remote. Kind of a hot day...ahh I'll just wear a ball cap...after all i'm just going up the road a bit.I'm dinking along doing 20mph and out of the blue the early morning is shattered by a loud crash right behind me. I stop and look behind . There, not more then forty feet away lay a eight inch rotted Fir tree scattered across the road. I realized I had been going under this fifty foot tall tree as it was falling. No helmet..... so for all those riding in the woods, strap on the brain bucket because its your turn next.

and to think i only wear a helmet when trailriding......at work we use them all day....a friend years ago was mustering horses and was kicked in the head...on his work bike.....he ended up in a real mess....its the risk ya take....trust in your own riding ability....if there was no risk in life, life would be boring
i like the name brain bucket.....good name for a helmet!
