Warrior range or hours of riding per tank?

I just got a Warrior and it is my first ATV. How far or how long can you run on one tank of gas? It has a 12 tooth sprocket so I don't know if this makes a difference. I weigh 200lbs. I am just wondering about averages. I know there are a lot of factors that can affect this. I was out on it in the snow on Saturday and we were out about 3.5-4 hours. It was pretty much wide open throttle the whole time and I went through almost a full tank. Is this normal. I got the ATV used and I just want to make sure it is running good. I just want to know how far and long I can go without having to worry about refueling. Thanks

Seems about right. I had a warrior and could ride the trails 6-8 hours per tank. Thats no snow, on and off the throttle, lots of steady cruise and I only weigh 150. In snow I would get 4-6 hours of real ride time from so much WOT.

I had a 97 warrior and rode from 2000 foot elevation to over 7000 foot elevation at a distance of 50 miles on a full tank. I ran out of gas completely 10 foot from the gas pump at the top of that mountain. Didnt go thru that much going down although I did go thru the better part of a tank full. It was rejetted with a larger jet, I forget the size and had aftermarket filter and pipe. My experience running that hog bone dry.

As a comparison of gas useage between the warrior and a stock 400ex , I did the identical ride with the EX and it took only 1.6 gallons carting my a$$ up that mountain, and I didnt diet between rides.

Trail riding I get about 160 - 170km per tank (100 - 105miles)
Pit riding, I'm not really sure because I top up my tank before every trip, and I've never spent more than a couple of hours in the pits at any one time. I find the Warrior to be fabulous on gas. I burn about 1/2 what my buddy on his bigbear 350 does.

Our Warrior on a ride in Nevada, from 5000 to 7500 feet elevation, did a 70 mile loop and hit reserve about two miles out of camp. The kid was riding pretty easy, not revving it much, just keeping up with the pack.
Our buddy's 400EX ran out of gas about 15 mile out of camp on that same ride, but he was wheelying and pushing pretty hard most of the way...
