How can anyone else answer this question??? How does the quad run? Does it sputter on the top end? Jet it down until it doesn't. Does it hesitate and lag on top? Jet it up! Only your engine can tell you what it wants...you have to learn how to listen to it and act accordingly!

well a 270 was to rich, even with the snorkel off. i left my snorkel on and tried a 250 and now it works great. maybe just a tad rich but with the 270 it had no top end it was so sputtery

With the humidity we have had this year and with what mods you have done, I would say you are pretty close. My experience with the FMF's at our sea-level is 240 mains. So the 250 may be a touch rich, but no two bikes run exactly the same. You want the plug to be the color of a brown paper bag. Look at the porcelin portion ONLY this is your jetting spot. Try to keep wetness to a minimum and do not use brand new plugs to do jet checks. A new plug takes almost an hour to reach consistant burn readings.

Sincerely,

Matt Sheldon (Magic Racing Sales Manager)

Now I am confused , i was always told to use a fresh plug to do a jet test, you mean to say any old plug will change back to tan if its been run rich?????
