Why do you run 22psi?

the more air you put in a tire the more traction you will lose. Your only gaining mph because the tire is grown so much with 22psi. Doesnt mean you can hook a tire up with that much pressure either though.

DaBeechMan, these guys are taking about running on asphalt, Traction is not a problem, some even run with bald tires.
A sand drag strip is about to open down here, things will get a little more interesting.

My reason for asking is if you start at 22psi of air pressure.....and run in excess of 100mph more heat is generated (increases PSI) + the tires are wanting too grow even more...sounds like a recipe for disaster....especially with stocker Dunlops. I would get some 22" tall tires if all I was after was a taller tire that effectively changes the gearing for your purpose.

hahaha, everyone down here runs raptor tires if there banshees are beyond ridable. They strech and get taller the faster you go so it increases your top speed that may help you win the race. Rob I havent been riding lately but where are they opening a sand drag strip?
