Pros- Fast, Lotta Torque, one of the top contenders, insanely good in trails, 4 stroke, its not a honda
Cons- Get ready to buy an L & A one way design for that crap starter, there decent for reliability, most 2k1s have alot of problems that people never let go and still use as an excuse to make fun of yamaha

i just bought a used 2001 raptor its a lot of fun. The good thing is when you get relly good on it there are sooo many aftermarket parts u can buy for it. the starter on mine broke too but i replaced it with a stock one again and it works fine. Does anyone know about the exhaust though??? my friends want me to get somthing so i can jet it out. but i like the look of the LTE Dual Exhaust www.lteracing.com should i get this one or is it bad?? it comes with a jet kit too so i really want this one. can you please help me pick one out??? also by the way if i dp get this one or any one should i get a new air filter too??? thanks

You may as well just buy the exhaust, filter (foam or K&N) and re-jet it. If you do any one of those things, you will eventually do the rest. If you can only afford to do one at a time, get a good pipe first. Then change the filter. When you are ready to re-jet, you can take the airbox lid off.
This is just my experience with the White Brothers exhaust. Some exhausts you may have to re-jet right away

The Dirtwheeles thing was a little biased, but it still gives some good advise for someone who knows nothing.
If all you're doing is changing the pipe, filter and jets I don't know if most people could tell the differance between one pipe or the other in power. Everyone wants the most power for the buck, but what it comes down to is looks and sound. Pick a few pipes you like the looks of and then check out the Dirt Wheeles article to see how loud they are and how much they cost.
Also, if you're not going to be rebuilding your engine, you probably don't need to change the head pipe. Unless you're going with MBRP. That's a sexy looking set-up.
