2004 Bruin 4X4?

don't waste your time with the bruin. Spend the little extra money on the Kodiak 400. With the kodiak, you'll get about 20 more cc's and more features that the bruin doesn't have. If your looking for speed and power, get the kodiak; its all you'll ever need.

Look at this.
ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE BEST IN CLASS AWARDS (Part 4)
(December 18, 2003)
Best Value ATV - Yamaha Bruin 350
Presented to the candidate producing a vehicle offering the best balance of features, quality and performance for the money.
Runners Up (in no particular order): Kawasaki Prairie KVF 360 4X4, Bombardier Outlander 330, Arctic Cat ACT 400 4X4.
Price alone is not the only consideration with this category. There’s a whole list of entry level ATVs out there offering basic qualities for entry level prices. The point of this award is to give praise to the ATV which offers the best balance of features while keeping the invoice at a minimum.
Yamaha has specifically targeted the 2004 Bruin’s feature list and price tag at the middle of the market. True, some ATVs offer more equipment, however, the Bruin is built on the outstanding Kodiak chassis and offers a strong performing 348cc engine with selectable 4WD and a CVT tranny.
It’s a tough combination to match, let alone exceed. With Yamaha’s name on the tank, there’s impressive manufacturing quality built-in. The Bruin oozes value everywhere.

I got mine about a month ago. Well satisfied so far with it. The wife and I ride double most of the time. We trail ride in the ozark mts, no trouble going up or down these hills. Seems to have plenty of power and the supension gives it a nice comfortable ride. Still breaking it in so I haven't open it up yet, but the short burts that I did give it hell it seem to go good. I started it one morning at 30 degrees and it poped right off. The steering is light and easy. The little bit of mud that I went thru, no problem. I hope that this helps you.
