My Raptor was my first quad. I have had tons of dirt bikes and thought about getting back into them too. If you ride trails alot, a quad is the way to go. But if your gonna mx I guess it depends. I couldn't go back to just a bike, but if I was getting a bike and kkeping the raptor then I saw go for it........Just my 2 cents

Ive owned bikes and quads, and I must say that I enjoy the quads more. I enjoy the quads more in trails and will never take a bike in sand. Bikes are quick. And easier on rocky hills and such. But quads too me or just so much funner. When i switched to a quad i never had so much fun riding.

I don't know......I would modify the raptor unless you really want a dirt bike.

I guess it's really up to you. The CRF is one hell of a sweet bike and mines always been there for me even when the YFZ hasn't.

Unless your drag racing...keep the raptor. It has plenty of power stock.

then get the bike too...just don't be surprised if the quad collects slightly more dust.

I still love my quads....But I don't ride them half as much as I used to since I got back into dirt bikes.

They both have thier enviroments. On an mx track there is no comparison. The Crf is a no-brainer in that enviroment. For play riding I'll take the quad. I raced mx for 10yrs and loved it. You couldn't GIVE me a quad over my dirtbikes back then. Now that I've had a few accidents(and accompanying medical bills ) I've decided to stay of the mx tracks. I did trail riding/ harescrambles racing for a while with my Crf, and its ok......but a dirtbikes true enviroment is on an mx track. In the trails and all other play riding I've had more fun in the last 6 months on my quad than I EVER had with my Crf. If you have the oppertunity to have BOTH then do it. But if I was left with the choice of just one vehicle for my personal needs I would pick the quad.

I will say I saw the new 04' Crf450 last week at the shop, and I still get excited to see it.
