I think it's gonna be trial and error...No internal engine mods? high compression pistons?
In order to get the most out those drag pipes you will want to loose the airbox lid at the bare minimum. You will most likely end up with close to 300's or so for mains.
I don't have much experience with those pipes...I run fatties with no airbox lid and 280 mains. Stock clip positions...stock pilots. It works great for me...but I have no crazy internals done either...I like a nice reliable bike.
The company did not give you a baseline to start with?

Well the guy told me to run a 220 and I just did not think that was right but he may know what he is talking about who knows.......I know what you mean about the reliability....I thin I am going to try and call CPI and check with them.......They di not send me anything not even the mounting brackets

I also say to start with 300's, I currently run 340's but do have porting, head modifications and air box mods with a +4 timing advance. I would not toss the lid but would the snorkle and then would cut off 1- 1/2" off the rear of the lid just before the clips, this will work good until you get a bolted on flange filter upgrade then you can toss the lid.
PS. Don't those CPI's sound awesome??? Wait until you port the jugs and then you'll see the insane power you will have.

My son has inframe CPI's with clamp-on K&N's at 700' above sea level is running 310 and probably could go up to a 320. I'd lower the clips on the needle's 1 notch to. I'd also put heavier clutch springs and maybe get the modded shift star for smoother shifts.

Well guys thanks for all the help...We ended up going to a 300 with the k&n and no air but I am ordering open air today and we are going to go back and rejet to prob about 310........As far as the sound I LOVE the sound and the only prob that I have found is the fact that I can not keep the front down.
