...................do you know how many times we have gone over this on this site. If you need to know (or are just trying to start a never ending argument) look under the search function.
Stock raptors are suppose to go 74mph. Every STOCK quad has to go less then 75mph. So when people say, theirs dooes 80mph stock, either there gps is a piece of crap, or they got extremely lucky, and got a raptor thats not like any other in the factory line.
Now, every quad can be a little different, and altitude, weight of the rider, and many other elements can change the #'s a little bit, but it cracks me up when we all do this "who's faster then who thing" "oh, my stock raptor is way faster then 74mph"
As for the original question. The raptor costs $6199 and the LE costs $6399. Thats what retail is. Now if you have some shop giving you a better deal on one, then more to ya, thats great. But those are the standard prices to expect.
As for the speed thing, sorry, don't mean to come across as a jerk, but it gets so lame having people argue about topspeeds all the time, especially from stock units, that where not aloud to go faster then 75mph from the factory. YOu watch, someone will post a NEW BETTER stock speed on here. ha ha ha.

On another note, different mods can give you much different #'s, and effect your topspeed, but your gearing will always be the limiting factor on topspeed. The reason you gain topspeed when doing mods, is your motor is not being used to its full potential and your gearing is not being used up.
Say, for an example, the raptor tops out at 74mph at full throttle, well, it's topped out, but the rpms/gearing is not. your probably only running like 7800rpms out of 9000rpm redline. So by uncorking it, you can possibly hit the rev limiter, hinse, using up your gearing. YOur quad wont go any faster topspeed after that point, its just not possible. GEARING IS ALWAYS THE LIMITING FACTOR, NO MATTER WHAT THE MOD.
YOu could probably get a raptor to do 150mph, just have to drop a ton of teeth on the rear, and add some on the front. You'll have horrible acceleration though!!!!
I dont know why I went off on that tangent, guess it was just getting to me after reading these things on topspeed all the time!
